As experienced employment attorneys, Maria Hughes and Mark Goldner spend their lives working to resolve workplace disputes for their clients. While we pursue cases aggressively and are ready to proceed to trial if necessary, we understand that litigation can take an emotional toll on individuals and their families and that not all clients want to endure the lengthy discovery process and a trial. In most cases, workplace disputes can be resolved with a financial settlement, reinstatement to a job, or both. For this reason, we evaluate each of our cases with our clients to investigate the possibility of early settlement. Our employment attorneys believe in alternative dispute resolution through mediation, where a “neutral” person assists the parties to settle the case.
Maria Hughes and Mark Goldner have completed extensive training as mediators specifically for “Resolving Workplace Disputes.” The training was offered by Pepperdine University School of Law and Lipscomb University Institute for Conflict Management and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. This training has assisted them with the mediation process on behalf of the firm’s clients, and it has enabled them to act as mediators in cases brought by other attorneys on behalf of their own clients. If you are an attorney and need to retain a mediator to resolve an employment case, please contact our firm today.
